Upgrading MariaDB 5.5 to 10.0

How to Upgrade

vi /etc/yum.repos.d/mariadb.repo


name = MariaDB Server
baseurl = https://downloads.mariadb.com/MariaDB/mariadb-10.0/yum/rhel/$releasever/$basearch
gpgkey = https://yum.mariadb.org/RPM-GPG-KEY-MariaDB
gpgcheck = 1
enabled = 1

Remove old version

yum remove MariaDB-server -y

Install MariaDB

yum install MariaDB-server MariaDB-shared MariaDB-client MariaDB-common -y

Start MariaDB

systemctl start mysql

Check MariaDB Status

systemctl status mysql

Upgrade Mysql tables


Login to MySQL shell
